Monday Night: City Council discuss a use for the YWCA and improvements to the Civic Center.
Monday, April 8, 2019 7-11pm. Pasadena City Council will hold a public hearing to review two reports commissioned for the redevelopment of the YWCA building and adjacent sites across from City Hall:
#1. A report to evaluate financial feasibility of development alternatives for the “YWCA block” (including the YWCA, the adjacent parking lot and the public gardens on Garfield) and
#2: A report recommending the most appropriate setback from Garfield for new construction on the public gardens across from City Hall (should that occur).

Staff is asking Council to provide direction to staff regarding:
a. the proposed parameters for the redevelopment of the YWCA building;
b. the use(s) of the building; and
c. the process for selecting a specific project and possibly including the adjacent northern City-owned property (Water & Power site).
